The Path to the Global Market: Key Stages of Development
The company’s history is a consistent evolution from traditional manufacturing to the creation of high-tech products:
- 2001–2005: Establishment and First Exports. The production facilities were founded in Dykanka in 2001. The very next year, the company launched unrefined sunflower oil under the TM “Dykanka,” which quickly won the trust of Ukrainian consumers. In 2005, alongside production expansion, UKROLIYA initiated its export activities, opening the Ukrainian product to the world.
- 2014–2017: The Era of High-Oleic Innovations and the Launch of EFFO. The company accurately anticipated global trends in healthy eating and efficiency, and in 2014, it began producing high-oleic sunflower oil. A natural extension of this expertise came in 2017, when the EFFO brand emerged — the first professional cooking oil in Ukraine. Created in close cooperation with chefs, EFFO shifted approaches in HoReCa: due to its high monounsaturated fatty acid content and high thermal stability, the oil lasts significantly longer in deep fryers than regular oil, optimizing kitchen expenses and guaranteeing high food quality.
- 2018–2022: Organic Breakthrough and GARNA ORGANICA. In 2018, UKROLIYA opened Ukraine’s first “UKROLIYAORGANIC” plant, dedicated exclusively to processing organic raw materials. Parallel to this, the premium organic oil brand GARNA ORGANICA was born. By controlling the entire product journey “from seed to bottle” and confirming its quality with strict international certificates of conformity, the company offered the end consumer a benchmark product for a healthy daily diet and conscious home consumption.

Having secured the status of No. 1 in terms of production and export of organic sunflower oil in Ukraine, the company continued to actively scale its presence on the world stage.
